After looking at Netherton FC vision on their website I am curious to find out how far they have come with this?

Played their on sunday and whilst changing rooms are ok, the showers were freezing :yipes: and pitch was not great. Also clubhouse needs sorting since fire!!

The need for a decent p'boro team is becoming more and more urgent as PNS drag their heels over chestnut and others are falling by the wayside i.e perkins, ortonians hampton!

Looks great but when will work start on this much needed complex?

:soo:

Very good rabbit.

But what about the clubhouse, changing rooms, stands etc... The housing issue is one that I know is big news around Netherton but building an all weather pitch will not please all residents and that still leaves the rest of the vision to be realised!

Feel that this may be a sweetener to progress the housing which clearly no one wants! And it has been four years already!!

The clubhouse, changing rooms (not sure about stand, we might have to wait a bit for that. hehe) are all tied into the overall development of the allotments.

The housing is the councils way redevelopment the whole area. As part of the housing complex a new access road will be built that will become the new access to the club, a new clubhouse will be built, encompasing facilities the whole community can use, and within the clubhouse there would be new changing rooms etc.

Is the grange not already a public facility?
I just thought netherton teams played there, I did not realise it was for their sole use

Can't agree that PNS are dragging there heels on the Chestnut issue. More like the PFA opposing everything PNS have tried to do !! I think by people spending there own money on buying the floodlights shows how they want to progress.

it is for public use but we deal with all bookings and have say in who can play there . . . 4 years jne! yeah right . we have been workin on this project for over 10 . and yes watch this space . we are looking into relaunching our old clubhouse first as we need to have a base for the new pitch. this hopefully will be built and played on within 2 years and then hopefully a new clubhouse with all the ad ons . . just hope all comes along nicely .
