Great game huh
i swear if any more scousers post they will be banned!
As a neutral ( Spurs Fan ) it was a teriffic game! With a great result. Liverpool even let Arsenal believe they were going through, but Whoops 59 seconds later! and the rest is history!

As a neutral who did you think was the better team this time round?
Ross, i love my club and felt we deserved it over two legs, bring on Chelsea!
If it was a neutral ground it would habe been the Arse, but Anfield is maintained as a Euro Fortress. And nice to see Walcott earn his wages for once, even though the result didnt go his way

Ok lets be honest about this Arsenal fans you were all moaning that you should have had a penalty last week which i agree it was so really have no comeback on it was spawny as it was a penalty. Its the refs decsion to give it and 1 got it right and 1 got it wrong simple!!!
Now Liverpool we owe you 1 well tecnically 2 and this time advantage us as we at home 2nd game so now we can park a bus infront of our goal, then win at the bridge!!!!!

Well gutted... 2 refs decisions have cost Arsenal a place in the next round - simple as!
At the Grove it was 100% a pen when Hleb was fouled but the ref missed it..
At Anfield L'Pool get a pen in the last 4 mins that was never a pen...
Watched both incidents in slo-mo and I know I'm biased but the Gooners really were unfortunate with the decisions against them - maybe next year.
Personally I hope it's a L'Pool v Chelsea final with Chelsea winning it (last min pen -Drogba diving hahaha...)
Personally I hope it's a L'Pool v Chelsea final with Chelsea winning it (last min pen -Drogba diving hahaha...)
Dont see how it can be as they are playing each other in the semis
Taxi for Sean.
L'pool are very spawny but think they deserved it on the night. Arsenal came out all guns blazing and deserved the lead. L'pool weren't in it until they scored - great header, awful marking! That was kids stuff from Senderos. Screw the man, as long as you can see him out of the corner of your eye, WATCH THE BLOODY BALL. From then on it was virtually all L'pool.
Walcott won Arsenal the game, or so we thought. Was it a pen? Considering the ref only has the facility to see it at real time, I don't think he can be criticised for giving it. There was def contact and if it was outside the box it probably would have been a free kick so why any different in the area?
Poor marking again from Senderos for the Torres goal, although great finish
Comes from a neutral as i'm a Blackburn fan, yes there are a few of us out there! Hyypia's header was Colin Hendry like! Legend

not seen the draw so wasnt to know... hope it's still the same result, Chelski to go through following a Drogba dive on 90 mins and the ref falling for it...
to be honest I dont mind who wins it or how they do it now, lost interest after the ref did us last night!
Foxy come on mate that's well biased and with a nickname of Hypia we can expect no less.... never a pen last night and the 1 last week on Hleb was 100 times worse contact with the ref in a better line of sight and he doesnt give it - we was robbed..
It's done now though and thats footy... I do hope a Premiership team win the thing.

It wasn't just the ref, although that helped. You were the btter team after half an hour but after that we were snapping into challenges all over the park. you could tell we wanted it more.

It musnt be underestimated how big a loss Flamini coming off was too. It changed pretty much after he went off and Alonso came into the game a bit more.
Cracking goal from Diaby too, brilliant one touch football - something Liverpool, hoof the ball, can only dream of.
We didnt defend well all game, Gallas and Senderos were poor, Adebayor didnt play well either.
What a run from Theo for the goal - didnt know he had it in him! We need to see more of that now.
End of the day, that ref should be pulled up for the decision. It was never a pen, Hlebs was! Lets not remember the pull on Cesc on Saturday too. These refs must be made accountable for their decisions.
Needless to say i'm still simmering from last night, but am so gutted and dissapointed and all hinges on Sunday now against Utd.
Come on the Arsenal!

Refs are only human and mistakes happen - thats football...
It's just when it happens 2 or 3 times in the space of a week against your team in VERY big games and it then costs you dearly, of course we call for the refs to be made accountable..
I say bring back hanging hahahaha....
Bring on the Scousers Big Gino! Chelsea were pants last night, but I must point out how much Kalou is improving with each game.
I really dislike Arsenal, but as a neutral and a football man, I can honestly say that if it wasn't a pen in the first leg, then it was even less of one last night. Was the ref Spanish? !!
i thought Chelsea did ok last night, great to get the early goal but again with bith keepers now sidelined thats not going to help matters.
Kazim hit a cracker again last night thought it was going to be a repeat performance.
i felt it was a soft pen last night but the score was 4-2 not 3-2 so im not sure why the goons are crying.
I can ally with their point of view though. If the pen hadn't gone in, Arsenal would've not needed to press forward to salvage the game; thus not exposing themselves to the fourth goal.

Russian probably. Bein paid off by Ambramovich, for Chelski to meet liverpool and try and set the record straight after the last, wait 2, no 3 or was it 4? i lost count over how mnay times u didnt get through the final :D
It's all about here and now Sneeks. Tired of hearing Scousers harp-on about your history. It's all about present and future. Unfortunately, away goals and extra time don't count in the Prem, so you won't be winning one anytime soon!

Nope, not for another 18 years. But UCL is different mate, its all about here and now, not the prem:D
Your father has taught you well, no bite back! May the best team win anyhow, or if not, then Liverpool!
there's only 2 places in the WORLD where that would've been given and the other one is just down the road at old trafford! after seeing it from almost every angle i'm yet to see any contact at all-dirty cheating foreigners BRING BACK THE 4 FOREIGNERS RULE AND RID OUR GAME OF THIS CHEATING.
then you wouldnt have a team at all jb!

hey! there was 3 players out of 22 on the pitch yesterday that were English, and they were all on our team.:D and who thinks were full of spainards:whs:
Arsenal have the right to be a little peeved, but everyone knows things like that happen and in europe Liverpool do seem to get alot of luck but chelsea, man utd and Arsenal seem to get the bigger decisions in the prem so its all even in the end.
As for the semi, Come on the blues, Russell Grant is gonna get luck again.
He will make awful substitute decisons, everyone wondering what the hell he is doing putting Steve Clarke on!!!! and the little fella will pop up with a Ray Parlour style thunderbolt, dont worry its only Ray Parlour!!!!!!!
Do you really think that the nationality of the player makes any difference JB? A little narrow minded mate. Unfortunately for your idea, the EU rules on freedom of trade and employment, would make any limit on the number of 'foreign players' illegal.

English players are just as bad for diving/fouls anyway.
In a previous world cup I recall Owen diving for a Pen and the media totally ignored it.
Gerrard diving for a pen against Hungary 2006 I think - no contact, ignored in the Media.
Gerrard against Sheff Weds (sent them down I think) - another dive ignored.
Terry - lost count of the fouls he committs on a weekly basis
Rooney - a couple of seasons ago looked like he was on roller skates when he got near the area
Shearer - didn't he kick Neil Lennon in the face and the media/FA ignored it and swept it away as he was about to be made England Capt?
plenty of English born and bred players just as guilty as the next man!
you have done your homework sean!

I actually remember those events happening as I watched them and couldn't believe how the English Media and FA all ignored them but are happy to slate foreign lads for the same!!! took me 2 mins thats all...
I'm lucky to work in Media so being online is part of the job!!! now back to work you lot.

There's quite a few scousers who are hoping the red shi*e get battered by Chelski
:str:
Sean, I am impressed, with all them players and fouls you remember not 1 from an Arsenal player!!!!
Not even a mention of Sol 'I shall use forwards as a ladder' Campbell.
I think you should have spent a little more time watching Arsenal chap..:whs:
Look on the bright side Ross least you know what day the Rams v Arse games on Now

Sol and Adams were just as guilty mate but I just pointed out the real blatant ones I remember that seem to be ignored by the press/FA when if a foreigner had of done it (a-la Cantona) there would have been uproar and a call for it to be stopped etc....
you got your wish. Monday night game. Stop spamming to get access to the arcade!

All this agro about this bloddy penalty from you Arsenal fans!! At the end off the day you only have yourselves to blame!! Champ league quarter final just scored to make it 2-2 away to liverpool. Any other team would shut up shop with only 5 mins to go but oh no not Arsenal they just open up and let Ryan Babel run at them. Dont make any diff waht happened he should never be allowed to get that far.
Also Sean most blatant dive ever was Mr Pires who actually dived and kicked his leg out at the player( Shef Utd i think) to get a penalty and Arsen said he never seen it. Funny he has always said that when it comes to descions that you get he never sees it but when they go the other way he seems to think he seen more of it from his position than the ref just yards away!!!
Now Gooners dummys back in and look forward to pre season:mabub:

hahaha all good banter not aggro...
Pires was a shocking dive but the worst I saw was Shearer kicking Lennon in the face live on Sky I think and the commentators ignoring it, the media and FA ignored it and all because he was Mr England at the time - shocking stuff....
