have to disagree with sneeks just because you moan dosent mean you cant be the captian yes tone it down a bit maybe but if that is part of your character you shouldnt change it shows passion and desire that is why i have chosen rooney because he loves the game and the country not the international stardom like most of the players that is why england are doing so poor!!

yeah England are full of overpaid Ego's basically but as Captain you surely have to lead by example. So if thats Terry, he expects 11 players to be shouting at the ref. Doesnt help with the respect campaign being bought in

i will be serious for 30 seconds i would say Gerrard but he always seems too quiet when he plays for England maybe because he is respecting the current captain?

Rio is a little too 'feet up on the desk, arms behind the head' for my liking. At the end of the day, I think that James is the thinking man's choice. I say that, but our EMAP 'keeper, Ads, will probably vote for James now and blow that thinking out of the water!

If I had to choose one I would give it to one of the mascots on the day.
England players worry about cash and cars, and in lump'a'lards case which bird he is gonna sort after the game, Rio is too casual, joe cole .....nope Gerrard is a quality player but seems to disappear when he got the armband.

Bring back tony adams, I know he's like 300 years old in football terms, but Beckham is 200 and they let him play still.
